Texas Whitetail deer
Come hunt the famed Katemcy Ranch in McCulloch county, near Brady TX .We have 6000 acres of very well managed ranch land that has about 4 miles of the San Saba river and over 5 miles of Katemcy creek running through it. The terrain is mostly rolling live oak hills, pecan bottoms, cedar canyons, mesquite flats, grain fields, all loaded with game.
Game include plenty of trophy whitetail. We have been averageing over 750 deer on our anual game counts done by helecopter each fall. That is a deer for every 7 acres. With our buck to doe ratio at 1.4 doe to 1 buck . That is an accurate count !! . We try and harvest only mature bucks and have had a 100% oppertunity on these deer .
All whitetail deer photos are taken on the ranch. All hunts are either semi or fully guided. They consist of 3 days of hunting with 4 nights of lodging, with meals, guides, and lodging included. We have a walk-in cooler for storage of your game. We hunt mostly from blinds and over feeders, but at certain times of the fall a trophy buck could be available by spot and stalk or rattling. Most bucks range from 120 - 140 B&C .

Our hunting dates start the 1st Saturday in November and go through the 1st Sunday in January . We do have a few special hunts starting in October and going through the end of January. Ask for details .

Our management hunts start at $3000 for a 3 day hunt , including any 8 point buck , a doe and a hog.
Our 10 point bucks start at $4500 for a 10 point scoring up to 160 B&C.
All hunts include 1 doe and 1 hog . If you would like another hog they are available for $100 each.
If you would like to add a fall turkey that can be done for $500 .
Larger deer are on the ranch, If that is what you are looking for then those deer are priced upon request . We have a full price list available upon request.
There are discounts available for hunting groups of 5 or more.

We have some great spring turkey hunting for the wary Rio Grande species of turkey .
Our hunt packages are 3 days of hunting and 4 nights of lodging, including meals, cooler use and field care of game .

We have had 100% success on these hunts , many hunters taking a second bird . The spring time is beautiful in the hill country with the bluebonnets and all the other native flowers blooming at the same time as the turkey are gobbleing and strutting. Calling is a blast , as there are lots of mature birds all over the ranch at this time of the year.
You can call your own birds or guides are available .

We also have great hog hunting during the offseason . We have plenty of hogs and they tast great .
Our hog hunting can be done over feeders or by spot and stalk . They are smarter than most hunters think . It can be a fun and challenging hunt .
We are getting $150 per day on our hog hunts . This includes 1 hog per day with additional hogs available at $100 each .
All meals and lodging are additional . We do have lodging available on the ranch , along with a walk-in cooler.

There is a nice ranch house on the property that sleeps 12 and satalite TV , 2 full bath and a nice outdoor firepit . This is available for $150 per night . Not bad if you have a group of 3 or more hunters.
